§ 26-537. Inspections.

Latest version.
  • (a)

It shall be the duty of the electrical contractor to notify the administrative authority that electrical work is ready for inspection. The administrative authority shall have 48 hours in which to make the inspection. In the event that the inspector rejects the electrical work performed, a reinspection shall be required to confirm that the electrical work has been corrected and is in accordance with current applicable National Electric Code.

    (b)

It is the swimming pool contractor's responsibility to call for an inspection of required setbacks and enclosure by the administrative authority. Where the boundary of the lot or tract upon which the swimming pool is to be located is not readily discernible by the inspector, the swimming pool contractor or property owner must have a surveyor stake out the property lines. The inspection for setback and enclosure requirements will be conducted after the property lines have been staked out by the surveyor.

    (c)

No inspection by the administrative authority shall relieve the swimming pool contractor from full compliance with Title 51, Chapter XXIV (Swimming Pools) Louisiana State Sanitary Code and any laws or regulations promulgated thereunder or referenced therein, the American National Standard/Association of Pool and Spa Professionals (ANSI/APSP) design standards for residential pools and spas and all other state and federal laws and regulations governing swimming pools and swimming pool construction.
