§ 26-502. Certificate of competency required; designation of agent for partnership, firm or corporation.

Every applicant for a plumbing or gasfitting contractor's license shall furnish proof
that he is the lawful possessor of a valid master plumber's or gasfitter's certificate
of competency. If the applicant is a partnership, firm or corporation, some bona fide
member or authorized agent thereof shall be the possessor of a valid master plumber's
or gasfitter's certificate of competency, and such person shall at all times be in
actual charge of the journeymen plumbers or gasfitters in the installation of plumbing
or gasfitting. When any person is designated and authorized to be or act as agent
for the applicant as provided in this section, such authorization shall be in writing,
signed by the applicant and person designated to act as his agent, and one copy of
such authorization shall be filed with the department. However, any person heretofore
licensed and authorized, who has contracted for plumbing or gasfitting, shall be permitted
to continue such contracting upon payment of all fees required under this article.
