§ 2-135. Functions.

The basic function of the convention and visitors commission shall be as follows:
(1)

Promote conventions and tourism in the metropolitan area comprising the city and parish.

(2)

Promote the city and parish for purposes of conventions and tourism to the greatest possible extent and encourage the development of tourist attractions in the Lafayette area.

(3)

Continue to engage in all activities presently undertaken by the Lafayette Parish Convention and Visitors Commission prior to its reorganization by virtue of this division.
