§ 2-140. Convention and visitors bureau.

The convention and visitors commission shall be entitled to create, or continue the existence of, if already created, the Lafayette Parish Convention and Visitors Bureau, to be operated under policies established by the commission pursuant to the objectives of the commission. The executive director of the commission shall be the executive director of the Lafayette Parish Convention and Visitors Bureau and shall have the same authority and responsibilities as the bureau, which shall be the agency representing the commission in the International Association of Convention Bureaus. The commission shall establish the terms and conditions of membership in the bureau.
