§ 42-84. Denial of certificate of necessity.

  • (a)

    Any applicant or existing ambulance service license holder who is dissatisfied with the decision of the emergency medical advisory board shall have the right to a hearing before the city-parish consolidated council, if written notice of appeal is filed with the emergency medical services advisory board within ten days after such decision.

    (b)

    No applicant who has been denied a certificate of necessity shall be eligible to make application for a certificate of necessity for an ambulance service license within 18 months from denial by the emergency medical services advisory board unless the emergency medical advisory board requests applications to provide ambulance service due to obvious need and necessity for such service.
