§ 62-48. Jumping bail.

  • (a)

    Defined. Jumping bail is the intentional failure to appear at such time and place as designated by the judge or committing magistrate who has fixed the amount of the bail bond. The fact that no loss shall result to any surety or bondsman is immaterial.

    (b)

    Prohibited. Whoever jumps bail shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
