§ 62-75. Contempt of City-Parish Consolidated Council.

  • (a)

    Defined. The term "contempt of city-parish consolidated council" is the failure of any person to comply with the lawful orders and/or subpoenas issued by the city-parish consolidated council pursuant to section 2-08 of the City-Parish Charter during the conduct of its investigations into the affairs of the city-parish consolidated government.

    (b)

    Prohibited. Whoever commits the offense of contempt of city-parish consolidated council shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $300.00 or imprisonment not exceeding 90 days, or both.
