§ 62-82.1. Threatening of police officer.

  • (a)

    Threatening a police officer is engaging in any verbal or written communication:

    (1)

    Which threatens serious bodily injury or death to a police officer; or

    (2)

    With the intent to influence his conduct in relation to his position, employment, or duty.

    (b)

    Whoever threatens a police officer shall be fined not more than $500.00, or imprisonment for not more than six months, or both.
