§ 70-67. Vendors to post price schedules.

  • Any street vendor on the streets of Lafayette is required to post a sign of no less than a minimum of 8½ inches by 11 inches size that identifies the cost of each item being sold. The term "street vendor" shall mean any person, partnership, limited liability company, firm or other legal entity of any type, including their agents and employees, who engages in a business of advertising or selling merchandise to the public outside of a permanent structure. This definition shall not include what is commonly known as "sidewalk sales" conducted by and adjacent to a business that operates from a permanent structure.

    Failure to comply with this requirement will result in the loss of the vendor's current license and the vendor will not be allowed to re-apply for another license until at least 18 months from the date of the loss of the license.
