§ 78-293. Purpose of article.

The purpose of this article is to establish a uniform procedure and policy relative to the planting of trees and shrubbery and the activities of persons engaged in servicing trees, and to encourage the protection of existing trees and shrubbery on public property and in public rights-of-way. The authority for this article is derived from the city-parish consolidated government's responsibility to preserve and protect public property.
