§ 82-675. Private banking or investment banking businesses.

  • (a)

    For each business of carrying on a private banking house, business or agency, or investment banking house, business or agency, the license tax shall be based on the total declared capital invested in the business, whether the capital is owned or in use or on deposit in the parish or elsewhere. The amount of this license tax shall be as shown in the following table:

    (b)

    As used in this section, the term "investment banking" means a business that is carried on through the purchase or underwriting of security issues and their subsequent sale to investors.
