Pursuant to the authority conferred in R.S. 32:41(C), the Lafayette City-Parish Consolidated
Government hereby adopts the provisions of R.S. Title 32, Chapter 1, "Louisiana Highway Regulatory Act" (R.S. 32:1, et seq.), and regulations of the
state adopted pursuant thereto, as amended and to be amended except for the penalty
provisions of said title, contained in R.S. 32:57(A), and except such as are in conflict
or inconsistent with this chapter or other ordinances and except such as by their
nature are not applicable.
