§ 86-145. Metered parking.

  • (a)

    On those segments of streets or other areas where parking meters are installed, parking shall be regulated between such hours as are set by the director and indicated on the face of the meters or on traffic control devices installed in conjunction with such meters.

    (b)

    It shall be unlawful for a vehicle to be parked between the hours set forth in a metered space when the parking meters are bagged with "No Parking" printed upon same.

    (c)

    It shall be unlawful for a vehicle to be parked in a metered space when the parking meters are bagged with "Parking by Permit Only" printed upon same when such vehicle has not been issued a valid permit for subject parking metered space.

    (d)

    It shall be unlawful for a vehicle to be parked in a metered space when the "No Parking" indication is displayed, except on those days and hours as determined by separate resolution of the city-parish council.

    (e)

    It shall be unlawful for a vehicle to be parked in the same space beyond the maximum time limitation indicated on the meter's face for which parking is lawfully permitted.
