§ 94-120. Electric, monthly fuel charge (Schedule FC).

Latest version.
  • (a)

There shall be added to each kilowatt-hour of retail electric sales a fuel charge.

    (b)

The fuel charge shall continue on a month-to-month basis until such time as the director determines that the fuel, purchased power and associated costs incurred in providing monthly electric service to retail electric consumers will be greater than or less than the current level. Thereafter, the director shall establish a monthly fuel charge at a level per kilowatt-hour which avoids major fluctuations and will, as closely as possible, recover all fuel, purchased power and associated costs.

    (c)

The fuel cost stabilization fund may be drawn upon by the director to cushion the impact of higher fuel cost whenever generation (LPPA or system) is out of service to the extent that cash flow is adversely affected. After the fuel cost stabilization fund is used, it will be restored to a level and at a restoration rate both as specified by the director.
