§ 2-10. Council Employees.

  • A.

    The Council shall appoint a Clerk of the Council who shall serve at the pleasure of the Council. The clerk shall give notice of Council meetings to its members and the public, keep the journal of its proceedings, be official secretary of the Council and perform such other duties as are assigned to the position by this charter or by the Council.

    B.

    The Council may, by ordinance, authorize the hiring of such other employees as may be necessary to assist the Council in carrying out its duties and responsibilities. Such employee shall serve at the pleasure of the Council.

    C.

    The Council shall, by ordinance, fix the salaries of its employees.
