§ 3-08. Compensation.

A.

The salary of the President shall be seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) per year. The Council may, by ordinance, increase the salary of the President during the term for which elected. The total of all salary increases during a term shall not exceed ten (10) percent of the salary at the beginning of the term.

B.

The President shall be eligible for health and hospital insurance and retirement benefits which are available to employees of the City-Parish Government.

C.

The President shall, upon presentation of properly documented receipts, be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred in carrying out the official duties of the office.
