§ 2-138. Committees.

  • The convention and visitors commission shall have the power to designate and appoint from among its members various committees with such power and duties as the commission may prescribe, provided that such powers and duties do not violate any law of the state or the city-parish consolidated government. The commission may form an executive committee composed of the elected officers, which shall act for the commission on matters demanding attention between board meetings. The actions of the executive committee shall be subject to approval at the next regularly scheduled meeting of the commission.
